Job Title: CT Technologist
Location: Ithaca, NY 14850
Shift: Full-Time – 12-Hour Shifts (Day or Night Shifts Available)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks (with potential to extend)
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Certified CT Technologist to join a dynamic radiology team in Ithaca, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality CT scans in a fast-paced environment while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role supports the diagnostic process and contributes to quality patient outcomes through the precise use of computed tomography equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform CT scans per physician orders and department protocols.
Accurately position patients for optimal imaging, ensuring comfort and safety.
Administer contrast agents as needed, following proper protocols.
Review images for quality assurance and completeness prior to submission to radiologists.
Maintain accurate documentation and complete exams in PACS/EMR systems.
Collaborate with radiologists and referring providers to provide high-quality diagnostic services.
Comply with radiation safety policies and procedures.
Assist in equipment maintenance and quality control measures.
Requirements:
ARRT (R) and (CT) Certification – Required
New York State Radiologic Technologist License – Required
BLS (AHA) – Required
Minimum of 1 year of recent CT experience in a hospital or outpatient imaging center
Experience with CT equipment such as GE, Siemens, or Philips
Proficiency in EMR and PACS systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Sectra, etc.)
