Dental Hygiene Specialist
Qualifications:
- Associate degree from an accredited Dental Hygiene Program
- Valid NYS Dental Hygienist license and registration
- At least two years of experience in dental hygiene
- CPR/Basic Life Support certification required
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures and infection control
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care, including oral health assessments and cleanings
- Perform fluoride applications, sealants, and periodontal scaling as needed
- Educate patients on best practices for oral hygiene
- Take and evaluate digital X-rays for diagnosis
- Follow infection control protocols and sterilize dental instruments
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide if certified
Pay: $50/hr to $55/hr
