Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Dietitian (RD) to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing comprehensive nutrition care to patients as part of a multidisciplinary approach. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct nutrition assessments, develop individualized care plans, and provide dietary recommendations based on clinical data.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Offer nutritional counseling to patients and families, educating them on dietary choices and lifestyle modifications.
- Monitor and adjust nutrition care plans to align with patient progress and medical conditions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
- Weekend Coverage: Required to cover one weekend every four weeks, with two weekdays off before or after.
Qualifications:
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- South Carolina Dietetics License (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian is preferred, but new RD graduates with substantial clinical internship experience are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of nutrition science and medical nutrition therapy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and patients.
