Endoscopy Clinical Assistant
Duties:
- Record and monitor patient vital signs, reporting changes to the RN.
- Assist in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including setup and breakdown of equipment.
- Ensure endoscopy tools are properly disinfected and sterilized.
- Manage procedural room inventory, restocking supplies as needed.
- Provide patient support, including assisting with feeding, mobility, and personal care.
- Maintain and document equipment function checks and repairs.
- Prepare and label specimens for lab testing.
- Perform regular cleaning and organization of procedural spaces.
- Check alarms, refrigerators, and room pressures daily.
- Support the RN in ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures.
Skills Required:
- Hands-on experience in endoscopy or similar procedural environments.
- ACLS and BLS certification are required.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required; preference for candidates with science coursework.
