Hand Therapy Occupational Therapy Assistant – Certified (COTA)
Qualifications :
Associate degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
NYS C.O.T.A. certification and registration.
Minimum of two years of experience in hand therapy or upper extremity rehabilitation.
Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.
Duties :
Assists in treating patients with hand injuries, fractures, and post-surgical conditions.
Implements strengthening and dexterity exercises for hand and wrist function.
Educates patients on splinting, adaptive tools, and pain management techniques.
Monitors progress and makes therapy modifications in collaboration with the OTR.
Maintains compliance with therapy protocols and documentation requirements.
