Job Description:
Reporting to the Associate Director of BTS in Millsboro, DE, the Associate Project Manager assumes responsibility for the complete life cycle of packaging solutions, including development, validation, and implementation, with a specific focus on the Millsboro manufacturing site. This encompasses projects involving new packaging, issue resolution, and enhancement initiatives. The role involves steering projects to successful completion, evaluating the implications of implementing packaging solution standards, and providing oversight for ongoing implementation and standardization projects. Additionally, the role includes initiating new initiatives aligned with the packaging strategy and participating as a subject matter expert in capital expenditure (capex) projects.
Close collaboration is essential, requiring coordination with R&D Product Development, Global Engineering Services, Global Supplier Management, site filling and packaging departments, and external suppliers of packaging materials and equipment.
Responsibilities:

- Leads the application, sharing, and retention of cutting-edge techniques or processes, including those from other industries, by providing leadership in Communities of Practice and other forums.

Qualifications:
Education Minimum Requirement:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or similar technical field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering, Chemistry, or related disciplines).
Required Experience and Skills:
- 3 years of combined packaging and/or pharmaceutical/medical device manufacturing experience (with at least 1 year in packaging support/project management).
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Experience and knowledge of the pharmaceutical environment.
- Experience with packaging equipment.
- Experience with primary and secondary packaging.
- Proven project leadership/management and complex problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify potential business risks and conduct gap analysis.
