Job Responsibilities:
- Escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper stocking of supplies.
- Review and update patient medical history to support provider assessments.
- Perform vitals, blood draws, injections, wound care, and assist with medical procedures.
- Administer medications and immunizations as directed by the provider.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Manage front desk duties, including patient scheduling, medical record requests, check-in/check-out, referrals, and documentation.
- Accurately record patient data in the electronic medical record system.
- Process and communicate test results to patients based on provider instructions.
- Participate in patient outreach initiatives to improve engagement and care compliance.
- Maintain clinical and office supplies to ensure optimal workflow and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or related certification.
- National or state-specific MA certification/registration is strongly preferred (required in applicable states).
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- Phlebotomy experience required.
