Job Summary:
We are seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging procedures under the direction of radiologists, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging.
Qualifications:
A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
Valid NYS license/registration (required)
Minimum of one year of CT/MRI experience as a radiologic technologist
Strong knowledge of radiation safety and protection protocols
Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance
Key Responsibilities:
Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures following established protocols
Administer radiopharmaceuticals and monitor patient responses
Ensure proper patient positioning and exposure factors for high-quality imaging
Adhere to radiation safety and protection guidelines to minimize exposure
Operate and maintain imaging equipment efficiently, reporting any malfunctions
Process scans and images, ensuring accurate documentation in the Radiology Information System
Assist radiologists by providing reliable imaging for accurate diagnoses
Follow department policies and procedures outlined in the Policy and Procedure Manual
Provide patient education and comfort, explaining procedures before imaging
