Job Title : Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location : Elmhurst, NY
Pay Rate : $70 / hour
Schedule : 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM (includes weekend / holiday shifts as needed)
Job Responsibilities :
- Safely handle and administer radioactive drugs for diagnostic imaging.
- Perform PET, SPECT, and gamma camera scans as per physician orders.
- Operate nuclear medicine equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols for patient and staff protection.
- Guide patients through procedures, ensuring accurate positioning for optimal results.
- Assist radiologists by reviewing and processing scan images for interpretation.
- Regularly inspect and calibrate nuclear medicine imaging systems for accuracy.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging data within EPIC.
- Adhere to state and federal nuclear medicine and radiation safety regulations.
- Participate in a 2-week structured training program as part of onboarding.
