Hours per Shift: 8 (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
No weekends or on-call requirements
Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Oncology Infusion Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team in Ithaca, NY. The ideal candidates will be skilled in chemotherapy and biotherapy administration and dedicated to providing compassionate care to oncology patients.
Qualifications:
Active RN license in New York State (required)
Minimum of 2 years of infusion or oncology experience (required)
Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification (required)
Previous travel nursing experience (preferred)
Strong knowledge of oncology medications, infusion protocols, and patient monitoring
Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient infusion setting
Key Responsibilities:
Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusion treatments following strict safety protocols
Monitor patients for adverse reactions and manage side effects during and after infusion therapy
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, side effect management, and post-infusion care
Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care
Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
Adhere to infection control and chemotherapy handling guidelines to maintain a safe clinical environment
