Procedural Care Specialist - Endoscopy
Duties:
- Document patient vital signs and provide updates on condition changes to the RN.
- Set up and maintain equipment for endoscopy and other procedures.
- Clean, sterilize, and troubleshoot endoscopic tools and accessories.
- Ensure adequate supplies are available, removing expired items regularly.
- Assist patients with daily activities and ensure their comfort during procedures.
- Perform routine checks of clinical alarms, refrigerators, and isolation equipment.
- Label and document patient specimens accurately for testing.
- Coordinate equipment repairs with appropriate departments or manufacturers.
- Transport patients safely and efficiently within the facility.
- Support team members in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized procedural environment.
Skills Required:
- Experience in procedural healthcare settings such as endoscopy, OR, or catheterization labs.
- ACLS and BLS certifications are necessary.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required; additional education in sciences is preferred.
