Psychiatric Recreation Therapist

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in psychiatric inpatient or behavioral health settings.
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.

Duties :

  • Develops and implements therapeutic recreational activities for psychiatric inpatients.
  • Uses structured activities to promote emotional regulation and social interaction.
  • Assesses patient behavioral patterns and reports observations to treatment teams.
  • Facilitates group therapy sessions focusing on coping skills and self-expression.
  • Ensures a safe and structured environment for psychiatric patients.
