JOB TITLE: Quality Analyst
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Public Engagement Unit's (PEU) mission is to identify and execute new strategies by leveraging Data Analytics to recognize New Yorkers in need of the services which are available to them and to also navigate them to the respective city services accessible to them as per the individual’s need. The Engage team at PEU are the developers of the EngageNYC application, which is an outreach, canvassing, and case management tool that is used by a certain PEU teams and partners. Development work is continuing on the EngageNYC application, with the purpose of rolling the application out to additional PEU teams and partners. The EngageNYC application will replace a combination of outdated/insufficient CRMs and spreadsheets that they currently use. Additionally, maintenance of EngageNYC is ongoing to keep the tool updated and incompliance for the teams who rely on the EngageNYC application to do their work daily. The system has been in production for more than 6 years and some additional enhancements are needed to reflect changes in the teams' workflow and responsibilities, which has also changed over the years.
Tasks & Duties
- Initiate and implement testing
- Conduct end-to-end manual functional testing for all Salesforce and iPad features and bugfixes worked on by the development team.
- Conduct integration, regression, and performance testing for each new software release.
- Write test cases for all new features and maintain documentation of test cases for existing functionality.
- Investigate development and production issues and document steps to reproduce for verified bugs.
- Collaborate with developers and the Product Manager at every step of the development process to ensure any development meets the user requirements.
- Occasionally interface with end users to understand how the products are used, including participating in user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Provide feedback on proposed new features and how they may impact the existing system.
- Contribute to the development team environment by actively participating in standups, team meetings, and agile ceremonies, and thinking critically about how the team’s processes can be improved.
- Provide Management Reporting and Information dissemination
- Analyze and document current systems and processes as currently implemented.
- Make recommendations for improvements based on client feedback.
- Work directly with business stakeholders, clients, designers, developers, and engineers to coordinate the building of applications to spec and on time.
Required Skills
- Minimum 4 Years Experience in Business/Quality Analysis tools such as : Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, Kanban, Vmodel, SDLC, STLC, Bug Life Cycle.
- Minimum 4 Years Experience with SalesForce, Java Script, Shell Scripting, Groovy Scripting.
- Minimum 4 Years Experience with creating, executing and managing automation scripts.
- Minimum 4 Years Experience with Bug Tracking Tools: JIRA, Adaptavist, Quality Center, Bugzilla, Rally, HP ALM, Test Director.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Must work in NYC area (Onsite position requires applicant to be able to commute or transfer to NYC).
- Must have prior NYC agency working experience.
