Registered Nurse – Clinical Documentation Integrity Consultant
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 3 years of clinical experience.
- Previous experience in CDI, coding, or health information management preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and healthcare compliance.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, coding systems, and EHR platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Duties:
- Assess clinical documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Provide feedback to physicians regarding documentation improvements.
- Ensure proper use of coding guidelines and diagnosis-related groups (DRGs).
- Support clinical teams in maintaining documentation integrity.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on documentation best practices.
- Assist in reducing clinical denials and improving case mix index (CMI).
Pay:
- Medium weekly pay range: $2,150 - $2,650
