Job Title: Respiratory Therapy Coordinator
Location: Healthcare Facilities across NJ, NY & Upstate NY
Pay Range: From $2200/Week
Hours: 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours per day); includes every other weekend and holiday coverage; no on-call or float requirements
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Services, Technical Supervisor, and Shift Supervisors, the Respiratory Therapy Coordinator provides comprehensive respiratory care therapy and support in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. This role focuses on the education, treatment, management, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies.
Essential Job Functions:
- Respiratory Therapy: Deliver respiratory care under medical direction, including treatment, management, and diagnostic evaluation of patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies.
- Intubation & Ventilator Management: Assist with intubation and manage ventilator setup and adjustments.
- Patient Evaluation: Collect and evaluate patient information, provide disease-specific education, and consult with other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Patient & Team Rapport: Develop and maintain strong, respectful relationships with patients, caregivers, and team members to create an optimal care environment.
- Patient Education: Provide and document patient and caregiver education based on identified needs in a clear and understandable manner.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift, push, or pull a minimum of 5 lbs. and stand for at least 1 hour per day.
- Communication: Regularly interact with medical personnel and visitors.

Education & Certifications:
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
Required Certifications & Licenses:
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS
- PALS
- Current and valid Respiratory Care license
- Current and valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in the state
Additional Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 2 year as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or 3 years as a Certified Respiratory Therapist.
Language: Proficient in English (speak, read, and write).
