RN - Certified Wound Care Specialist
Duties:
- Perform comprehensive health assessments with a focus on wound, ostomy, and continence care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, recommending appropriate medications and treatments.
- Monitor and document patient responses to treatments, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Educate patients, families, and staff on wound care prevention and management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and make referrals when needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evaluate the effectiveness of care.
Required Skills:
- 2 years of Med/Surg and wound/colostomy care experience
Education & Certifications:
- New York State RN License
- AHA BLS Certification
- Certification in Wound Care (e.g., CWOCN, CWCN, WCC)
