Job Description :
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our outpatient team in Syracuse, NY . The ideal candidate will provide assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment for patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders .
- Develop and implement individualized therapy programs tailored to patient needs.
- Provide evidence-based treatments to improve communication and swallowing functions.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy strategies for improved outcomes.
- Organize and manage evaluation and treatment sessions to ensure optimal patient care and clinic workflow .
- Contribute to program development and interdisciplinary initiatives within the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) department .
- Maintain accurate patient records , prepare reports, and ensure compliance with New York State regulations and ASHA guidelines .
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care .
- Participate in community outreach, education, and awareness programs to support speech therapy services .
- Stay updated with certifications, new treatment techniques, and industry best practices in speech-language pathology .
