Job Description:
We are seeking a Sterile Supply Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate must have successfully completed a nationally accredited central service technician exam and hold certification as a Central Service Technician OR have at least one year of experience working in a healthcare central service department.
Qualifications:
Certification as a Central Service Technician OR minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare facility
Successful completion of a nationally accredited central service technician exam (preferred)
Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterilization processes
Ability to operate and oversee sterilization equipment including steam under pressure, Steris, and Sterrad
Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance
Key Responsibilities:
Perform safe and effective decontamination, disinfection, washing, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and trays
Adhere to aseptic techniques and maintain high quality control standards
Oversee and operate cleaning and disinfecting equipment for surgical instruments
Assemble both complex and simple surgical sets with accuracy
Monitor and record sterilization processes to ensure compliance with safety standards
Respond to urgent and emergent requests from clinical staff
