Duties:
- Prepare the operating room for procedures by assembling equipment and instruments.
- Assist the surgical team by providing sterile tools and supplies.
- Perform counts of sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures.
- Ensure proper handling and labeling of specimens for analysis.
- Maintain a sterile environment, taking corrective action when necessary.
- Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and application of post-surgical dressings.
- Maintain and restock surgical supplies and equipment.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile field maintenance.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Education:
- Certification in Operating Room Technology required.
- Experience in an operating room setting preferred.
