Position: Transportation Coordinator
Duration: 3 Months (with potential for extension)
Location: Springdale, AR
Shift: Tuesday - Saturday
- 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Training Schedule:
- Sunday - Wednesday and every other Saturday for at least 3 weeks.
- This position is 100% on-site.
Summary:
The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for managing relationships between carriers, customers, and internal teams for assigned accounts. This role requires a deep understanding of customer transportation needs, processes, and procedures. The coordinator ensures effective communication and operational efficiency by collaborating with sales teams and carriers to deliver outstanding service.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary contact between the supply chain and assigned external customers.
- Analyze incoming emails and resolve issues promptly.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external contacts.
- Utilize multiple dispatch systems (e.g., TES, LME, Four Kites, OTR) and external scheduling systems (e.g., Retailix, Retail Link, UNFI, One Network) to address operational challenges.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of internal policies, procedures, software, and customer organizational structures.
- Identify cost-effective solutions to meet client and customer needs.
- Develop and implement creative solutions to delivery process challenges.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in transportation or logistics.
Experience:
- 1-3 years of dispatch experience in transportation/logistics.
Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (frequent email communication exceeding 300 emails/day).
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
