NavSav is looking for a senior accountant to join our rapidly growing independent insurance agency. We currently have 75 locations in multiple states and will continue to expand. About the Role :
This role will report to and work closely with the accounting managers and other members of the team to ensure month-end and other accounting tasks are completed on time. Additionally, among other tasks, this individual will also work on the annual external audit, tax filings, and other technical accounting areas such as lease accounting.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and complete month-end close related tasks including reconciliations and variance analysis
- Assist with annual audit and tax filings
- Communicate with leadership on any variances or issues
- Assist with other accounting for ASC 606, ASC 842, and business combinations
- Contribute to system and process improvement in key accounting areas
- Ad hoc report creation
- Work cross functionally to complete tasks
- Other tasks and projects as assigned
