Summary
You will serve as a CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the Contracting Branch of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Requirements
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilization of knowledge of contracting policies, procedures, negotiation techniques, technical requirements, and the contractor's operations to negotiate and define contracts for supplies. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Preparing solicitations that involve complex or vaguely defined requirements; 2) Evaluating proposals based on a variety of factors; 3) Conducting post-award conferences with contractors to clarify contractual requirements and monitor contractor performance for potential issues; 4) Perform comprehensive acquisition planning, analysis, and negotiation in support of managed equipment; 5) Resolving problems in the contracting and teaming processes; 6) Providing training to junior team members.
