Position : Cache Database Administrator
Location : Kew Gardens, NY 11415 (80% onsite work)
Duration : 14 months (7 hrs / day job)
Required kills / experience :
A minimum of 4 years of experience in database administration planning, design, configuration, installation, troubleshooting, integration, performance monitoring, maintenance, enhancement, and security management including :
Cache
SUSE Linux
RedHat Linux
Backup and Restore
Database Mirroring
SCOPE OF SERVICES :
The Database Administrator's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :
Monitor systems logs, report abnormalities and troubleshoot.
Monitor database backups, modify when needed.
Monitor file system space.
Perform support and maintenance of existing Cache deployment, analysis, and migration of existing Cache code to Microsoft SQL; and Web Services (SOA)
