Major Duties (Job Description)
- You will lead the design, installation, and maintenance of hardware and software systems, ensuring high standards for performance, security, and availability.
- You will manage system resources, including capacity, performance, and recoverability, while ensuring systems run efficiently and securely.
- You will oversee the implementation of security procedures and ensure compliance with policies related to system security and integrity.
- You will lead efforts in troubleshooting, resolving hardware / software issues, and integrating updates and fixes to maintain system functionality.
- You will collaborate with program managers to support system transitions, manage expectations, and ensure adherence to service level agreements.
- You will document and develop system administration procedures, ensuring consistency in system operations and configuration management.
- You will ensure timely resolution of technical issues, overseeing the full cycle of troubleshooting and implementing necessary changes to meet operational goals.
Qualification Summary

IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include : Utilize analytical skills, evaluation techniques, and re-engineering methods to assess the technical, financial, and programmatic implications of prospective IT endeavors. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include : Manage stakeholder requirements from internal / external agencies helping execute and accomplish organizational goals and objectives. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include : Providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the workforce communicating organizational goals and objectives while aligning with the command's initiatives. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include : analysis, reporting, coordinating, and facilitating working groups to meet and resolve project objectives. In addition : Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or NO-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following : Lead AND / OR manage the planning, design, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware, software, AND / OR network systems while ensuring security, performance, availability, and compliance with standards and procedures.
