- You will work as senior-level Computer Scientist supporting the C2 Information Systems Division, specializing in database development.
- You will lead the design, development, and optimization of database structures integral to Naval Aviation software systems.
- You will monitor and resolve database-related issues to ensure system reliability and performance.
- You will operate in an Agile development environment, collaborating closely with software developers to deliver seamless, database-driven solutions.
- You will be knowledgeable in cloud-based database platforms such as Azure SQL and SQL Managed Instance (SQL MI), focusing on evaluating and preparing Naval Aviation systems for transition to the GovCloud environment.
- You will independently plan, manage, advise, administer, or perform professional and scientific work such as the application of, or research into computer science methods and techniques to store information by means of computer systems.
Qualification Summary
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following : designing, developing, and optimizing complex systems to support robust, high-performing applications; administering SQL server / Microsoft SQL databases; implementing efficient database structures, writing advanced queries, and creating stored procedures, triggers, and functions to enhance application functionality.
