You will perform a variety of tasks which involve the upkeep and repair of the facility. Your work will make an impact and support how our organization serves the best customer – our Military patrons and their families.
So, what does a typical day look like? What does it take to succeed?
oConducts preventative maintenance and takes periodic inventory of maintenance stock and equipment.
oPerforms general carpentry, painting & plumbing tasks involved in the alteration, repair and maintenance of buildings or equipment.
oFollows all local safety regulations. Informs supervisor of hazardous conditions.
oOperates motor vehicle in the performance of the duties.
The Qualifiers :
oMust possess one year of working knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties.
oIs required to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in tiring or uncomfortable positions.
oFrequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
oWill be required to work both indoors and outdoors.
oMust possess a valid state driver’s license and pass a pre-employment criminal & motor vehicle background check.
HazMat training required within 90 days of hire per Department of Transportation regulations

GENERAL EXPERIENCE One year of experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of general maintenance practices involving the upkeep of buildings grounds fixtures equipment etc.
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE One year of high school education may be substituted for 3 months of general experience up to a High School Diploma or GED for one year of general experience.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE One year of general maintenance work in involving simple maintenance work such as painting plumbing carpentry and electrical repairs. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS standing stooping bending kneeling climbing and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts and carries material weighing up to 50 pounds.
