Job Summary:
Maintains and processes NEXCOM Information Technology hardware software maintenance and telecom expenditures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Incumbents of this position must be U.S. Citizens.
- Processes and manages incoming IT worldwide HW SW maintenance purchase requisitions. Ensures requisition reflects appropriate i.e. vendor name vendor number account s to be charged period of performance PoP billing expectations i.e. yearly quarterly in-arrears upfront or monthly PO type requested i.e. V variable D M or N as well as all detailed information required if any or all of the purchase charges are to be charged directly to another department or activity. Coordinates with the IT HW SW Specialists and or department managers for line-item correction approval and resubmission.
- Reviews IT worldwide HW SW maintenance budgets to ensure the purchases are within budget and approves and or flags requisitions to the next approver basket.
- Receives and processes incoming IT HW SW maintenance invoices to ensure consistency with corresponding Purchase Order. Coordinates with vendor s IT Hardware Software specialists Contracting and or CAC to rectify any and all problems if required.
- Builds updates financial obligation in Lawson to include the new PO number PO amount the vendor the contract was awarded to and the vendor code. Ensures new PO information is reflected onto next year s maintenance budget call.
- Provides Code F payment notification email for invoices over 12 000 to allow Code F to set up monthly charges to appropriate dept Account
- Processes and manages all incoming voice data circuits purchase requisitions for all headquarters related accounts. Ensures any modifications required to existing PO s are reflected in Lawson as well as variable reoccurring expense VRE systems.
- Responds to Vendors inquiries about billing related matters e.g. payment status missing invoices account information etc. for checks received.
- Processes and manages all incoming Verizon Wireless acct 51015 purchase requisitions and calculates by dept activity any credits provided. Provide need-to-know necessary individuals departments charges for all military and appropriate personnel wireless charges to ensure reimbursement is received from the government.
- Performs detailed analysis for special assignments.
- Carries out policy of courtesy and service. Recognizing the importance of genuine obvious and active attention required in retailing and services organizations. Exercising tact good manners and courtesy when working with fellow associates and colleagues. Tactfully responds to inquiries and provides assistance in a prompt and friendly manner.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- This position is designated IT-3 Non-Sensitive in accordance with SECNAVINST M-5510.30 and will require a favorable National Agency Check and Inquiries NACI .
Requires a total of four years of experience
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Three years of experience in accounting functions, which enabled the applicant to apply knowledge of established accounting and related data processing procedures and techniques.
OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: 1 years of academic study above the high school level may be substituted for 9 months of experience, up to a maximum of a 4-year bachelor's degree for 3 years of general experience.
AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of demonstrated experience in the following areas: analyzing, classifying or recording transactions; balancing, reconciling, adjusting or examining accounts; developing or verifying accounting data for reports, statements and schedules; analysis of accounting data and/or designing or developing more efficient, effective processing methods; and reconciliation experience that demonstrates application knowledge of procedures to resolve discrepancies.

Salary : $47,591 - $62,440
