This is where YOU fit in : NGIS Bremerton is in need of a Guest Service Representative to answer the call; a team player who is dedicated to supporting our local Naval community, and operational successes on a day to day basis. You will perform a variety of tasks which involve making the NGIS a home away from home for our valued guests. Your work will make an impact and support how our organization serves the best customer – our Military patrons and their families.
So, what does a typical day look like? What does it take to succeed?
oServes as first point of contact with guests; Assists guests with all requests, in person or via telephone.
oMaking, confirming and / or cancelling room reservations, collecting payments and presenting lodging receipts, check-in / check-out process, authorized patron verification, guest room assignments, credit card processing etc.
oPrepares Close Bank Report and receipts at the end of each shift in accordance with established procedures.
oPrepares end of day front desk reconciliations identifying and addressing any discrepancies made throughout the day.
The Qualifiers :
o1 year of experience in progressively responsible work related to position to be filled.
o1 year general office clerical experience
oMust possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties.
oMust pass a pre-employment criminal background check.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE
One 1 year of general office clerical experience that demonstrated the ability to perform clerical duties satisfactorily.
AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
One 1 year progressively responsible experience related to the position to be filled.
OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE
Study completed in a college university or junior college above the high school level may be substituted on the basis of one-half academic year of study for 6 months of experience.
