To oversee and direct the activities of the Marketing Data Science and Analytics function. Performs a pivotal role in defining how data and analytics drive marketing performance, campaign optimization, and personalized insights. Support executive management in developing and executing strategic plans. Serve as strategic partner within Marketing and drive initiatives related to acquisition, churn, retention and engagement / usage, identify business opportunities and achieve corporate KPIs and goals.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership across multiple analytics teams, driving the vision and execution of marketing analytics, data science, campaign optimization, and the development of predictive models and machine learning initiatives

Develop a comprehensive system for monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of marketing efforts and campaigns

Define and execute data driven initiatives that align with marketing goals and deliver measurable business impact

Leverage muti-touch attribution (MTA) insights to identify optimization opportunities, enhance campaign performance, and inform media allocation strategies

Oversee the creation of personalized member insights to drive member engagement and satisfaction

Maintain documentation, validation frameworks and controls to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, rules and regulations

Develop and maintain team-specific components of the Division Annual Financial Plan (AFP)

Understanding of business direction, environment and strategies and work closely with stakeholders to ensure analytic output address business needs

Maintain mathematical models, coordinate validation and testing, establish appropriate controls and communicate modeling methodology and share results to management, regulators and auditors

Define and execute data-driven initiatives that align with marketing goals and deliver measurable business impact

Direct and oversee vendor activities to ensure vendor performance meets established goals and to acquire third-party data to broaden database and fulfil data requirements

Develop business priorities, goals, expectations and manage integrated project plans; ensure alignment with organization

Lead or participate in organization wide project teams

Partner with senior management to ensure alignment with shared goals

Contribute and advocate a culture of collaboration by actively working across business lines, communicating knowledge and business processes to other business units

Stay abreast of and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline—Marketing Analytics, Business Administration, Data Science-or related field, or the equivalent combination of training, education and experience

Extensive progressively responsible experience leading and managing an analytics operation in a large financial institution, aligning analytics initiatives with marketing objectives to deliver measurable impact

Experience in muti-touch attribution (MTA) and marketing mixed modeling (MMM) frameworks, including their application to optimize campaigns and marketing strategy

Significant experience in demonstrating thought leadership, initiative taking, decision making and creativity solving business problems

Significant experience in a leadership or supervisory position in marketing research organization, preferably in the financial industry

Advanced business strategy acumen with progressive and demonstrated experience in analysis, modeling, marketing planning and business case development

Proficiency with analytics software and integrating analytics into enterprise marketing workflows

Demonstrated ability to design and implement marketing performance measurement frameworks and tools

Significant experience in presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives and information clearly and concisely

Extensive and progressive experience demonstrating strong project management skills and the ability to plan, organize, direct, and control a multifunctional operation

Expert skill demonstrating effective interpersonal and cooperative relationship skills to include tact and persuasiveness to negotiate and obtain acceptance of recommended solutions

Expert skill in results-oriented leadership in a challenging environment

Expert research, data mining / querying, analysis, and reporting skills, including proficiency in sophisticated statistical methods and modeling, forecasting, and cost / benefit / risk analysis

Expert database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software skills

Advanced organizational, planning and time management skills

Desired Qualifications

Master's Degree in a relevant discipline—Marketing Analytics, Business Administration, Data Science-or related field, or the equivalent combination of training, education and experience

Advanced knowledge of Navy Federal’s functions, philosophy, operations and organizational objectives
