Employer Brand Graphic Designer Lead

OverviewTo lead the design and production of collateral that supports a unified employee communications and branding strategy that aligns with Navy Federal's strategic goals, encourages engagement and strengthens the organization's reputation as an employer of choice. Serve as subject matter expert to provide advanced knowledge of design programs, design principles design development standards, techniques and methodologies and ability to apply them. Mentor and provide guidance to Level I / II team members. Perform complex / difficult tasks with moderate latitude and impact.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute designs and visual branding for internal communication products and services including online, print, multimedia, presentation, display and other interactive collateralParticipate in strategic / conceptual development meetings with clients to determine project requirements, objectives and creative directionWork closely with clients as a Trusted Advisor to develop materials that meet / exceed their needs and expectations and comply with branding, trademark and other company and industry standardsConduct research, conceptualize and develop several strong, persuasive ideas that address the goals and purpose of the credit unionServe as creative resource and point of contact for management on design and branding standards, vendor selection and production methods and timelinesPresent creative concepts to management for complex and / or extended communication campaignsCreate and implement designs for projects Broad scopeLead or participate in cross-departmental project teams to enhance and develop products / services and plan / implement marketing campaignsAssist with compiling reports and / or production statisticsProvide analysis recommendations and help influence decisions by senior department leadershipIncorporate and leverage best industry practices while maintaining alignment with Navy Federal goals and capabilitiesResearch emerging technologies and recommend solutions that align with business goalsServe as mentor / trainer and provide guidance and assistance to team membersAssist the supervisor with on-boarding and initial training of new team membersAct as supervisor / manager in the incumbent's absenceAssign projects to team, in consultation with SupervisorMay provide photographic support for internal events / activitiesPerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsExtensive experience using design programs, creating print and online collateral for Employee Communication campaignsExpert knowledge of design principles, design development standards, techniques and methodologies and ability to apply themExpert knowledge of design fundamentals such as color theory, typography and compositionExtensive experience in interactive design, visual design and industry standardsExtensive experience applying new programs and technologies to design and communication challengesAbility to work independently and in a team environmentAbility to compile, organize and present information clearly and conciselyExtensive experience in working and participating in cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams and projectsExtensive experience in working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, vendorsExtensive experience in managing multiple priorities independently and / or in a team environment to achieve goalsSignificant experience in leading, guiding and mentoring othersExpert skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisionsExpert skill exercising professionalism, composure under pressure, and flexibilityExpert verbal and written communication skillsExpert database and presentation software skillsAdvanced organizational, planning and time management skillsExpert research, analytical, and problem solving skillsExpert skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisionsBachelor's degree in graphic design or related field, or the equivalent combination of experience, education and trainingDesired QualificationsExperience with mainstream InDesign desktop publishing programs and other Adobe Creative Suite programs including motion graphics and multimediaWorking knowledge of Navy Federal Human Resources policies, procedures, and programsWorking knowledge of Navy Federal products, services, programs, policies, and proceduresProven track record of creating compelling, on-brand visual content across digital and print mediums, including social media, websites, job postings, recruitment collateral, and internal communications.Advanced proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and other industry-standard tools.Strong ability to translate employer brand values, culture, and messaging into visually appealing and impactful designs.Collaborative mindset, working closely with talent acquisition, marketing, HR, and external vendors to ensure alignment on design and brand standards.Strong attention to detail, with the ability to edit and proof designs for accuracy and consistency.Familiarity with employer branding trends, recruitment marketing best practices, and the use of digital design in attracting talent.Hours :
