Desktop Governance & Compliance ensures our wide-ranging end-user computing environment maintains operational efficiency and stability in a secure technical environment. We seek a highly skilled and motivated Analyst with primary responsibilities that include supporting desktop application management and reporting, audit and risk compliance, patch management, and governing new software and application rationalization.
Responsibilities
- Perform audit and risk management, i.e., manage elevated workstation administrator access, restricted software, and desktop standards and policies.
- Perform comprehensive patch management, including patch testing, pilot research, deployment monitoring, and stakeholder communication.
- Evaluate requests for new and upgraded desktop and virtual software. Perform business and technical evaluations; validate against the asset inventory, technology, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with Desktop Governance Board, Architecture Review Board, and other governing bodies for consistent application of Navy Federal policies and standards.
- Review, prioritize, and resolve customer and risk-related requests (ServiceNow tickets) based on urgency and complexity.
- Lead and participate in project and process improvement efforts, i.e., including sprint planning, developing road maps and project plans, and managing project deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine user stories and define and document acceptance criteria; Participate in story grooming to prioritize backlog items.
- Compile, review, and prepare data to analyze key performance indicators, services, and operations.
- Conduct benchmarking and trend analysis to drive continuous improvement, establish preventative processes, and elevate service performance. Prepare summaries and present findings using Microsoft PowerPoint, Power BI, and similar presentation and reporting tools.
- Analyze and re-engineer processes to improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with Navy Federal Credit Union Information Security and Enterprise Technology Service standards and best practices.
- Build effective relationships with team members, management, and key stakeholders.
- Recommend, develop, and maintain complete and accurate documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Risk Management, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 2 years of IT work experience in a governance, risk, and compliance management capacity
- Working knowledge of asset management, Windows 11, and MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager).
- Experience with ServiceNow, MS Office suite, and other related tools and technologies.
- Experience in leading projects, meeting facilitation, process improvement, Systems Development Life Cycle, and agile methodologies
- Experience in supporting and facilitating audits, including progress tracking, status reporting, and the collection of artifacts.
- Strong communication and documentation skills when presenting findings, conclusions, and other information to a variety of audiences.
- Diplomatic in exchanging information and addressing sensitive issues.
- Effective documentation skills in writing technical and end-user guides.
- Experience developing action plans and presenting recommendations to management.
- Strong planning and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills using pivot tables and other related tools and reporting.
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to hit the ground running.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Experienced in guiding and mentoring others.
