Duties
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Lays out design and programs computer driven rotary/laser engraving equipment to engrave a variety of materials to include wood, acrylic, glass, bottles, and plastics, etc.
- Operates heat presses, saws and other computer related equipment such as scanners.
- Provides information and assistance to customers requesting engraved products.
- Recommends materials, design and layout, takes orders, and completes projects.
- Trains and monitors lower graded employees.
- May be required to custom make products according to patron specifications.
- Performs routine maintenance to equipment.
- Ensures adequate stock of supplies is available to meet operational needs.
- Keeps abreast of industry trends and makes recommendations for new products and processes to incorporate into the operations as well as deleting slow moving items.
- Operates a cash register and performs cash closing procedures.
- Assists picture framers with shop duties and maintenance as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Works under the supervision of the Frame Shop Supervisor.

- Must have experience, which provides knowledge of Corel Draw 11 computer program to operate laser-engraving equipment along with sublimation and traditional metal engraving equipment.
- Must have ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Must possess skills in dealing with the public.
- Must be able to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
