Summary
This position is located within Navy Region Southwest MWR. The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to the NRSW Regional Call Center through the day-to-day sales and management of MWR events throughout Navy Region Southwest. Sell, assist and promote MWR facilities that can include but is not limited to Admiral Baker, Anchors Catering and Conference, Admiral Kidd Club, Oceanview, Island Club, Breakers Beach, Ibar, Mirage Club, On the Greens Catering, and Bard Mansion.

Responsible for selling and planning of special events such as command functions, cultural events, weddings, balls, etc. in selected Navy Region Southwest venues. The Regional Call Center Sales Coordinator will work directly with the client to discuss requirements such as date, number of guests, occasion, and explains services offered, i.e., room, decorations, menu, entertainment, etc. and make recommendations, if needed. Incumbent is also responsible for costing functions, preparing contracts, obtaining clients signature and deposits, if required. Also will coordinate food and beverage needs with appropriate site managers. Also arranges required supplies, decorations, equipment, and personnel. Maintains private party contract file. Follows-up with client on evaluation of services rendered. May promote MWR programs. May prepare private party brochures and advertising material. May assist in establishing MWR catering prices.
The Regional Call Center Sales Coordinator is expected to be familiar with each MWR venue catering guide and ordering policies. This is primarily a sales position, one of the goals is to upsell all menu selections and maximize revenue whenever possible. This is achieved through increasing per person price and applying structured fees in situations where costs overrun prices.
Beyond sales and customer service, the incumbent is also responsible for managing the details for client food and beverage selections and other MWR needs as required. This includes creating banquet event orders and ensuring that relevant details are communicated to Installation Venue Site Manager, or Person in Charge. Efficient use of event management programs, excel, e-mail, and catering software is essential for good performance.
Incumbent will be responsible for communication and coordination with each Installation Venue Site Manager. The incumbent will be responsible for traveling to MWR venues for site tours and meetings.
Regional Call Center Sales Coordinator is responsible for meeting sales quotas as dictated by the N92 office.
Performs other related duties assigned, to include but not limited to selling and coordinating other MWR programs

Three years' experience that demonstrates knowledge of standardized lodging, recreation, mess/club or comparable food service and beverage practices and procedures, pricing, and ability to coordinate with various workstations to satisfy customer requirements. Skills necessary to assist customers in planning delivery of services.
Ability to prepare reports and complete simple contractual arrangements.
Must possess skill in negotiating program issues and operation requirements with patrons and personnel inside and outside the local installation and community organizations.
Knowledge of business principles and personnel management.
Ability to communicate and clarify the applications of the departments policies to employees and management personnel.
Ability to develop, explain, justify, persuade and deal with a wide range of problems and with people of diverse backgrounds.
Ability to help identify inefficient departmental practices and suggest ways to streamline them to shape a better, more efficient experience for both the client and event staff.
Ability to be a proactive problem solver who knows how to anticipate and identify problems before they occur.
Ability to communicate proficiently both orally and in writing.
Ability to type 50 WPM from verbal instruction or customer request.
Ability to be proficient in Excel with knowledge to include but not limited to "Find and Search", "Data Validation", "Keyboard Shortcuts", "Chart Formatting", "Data Value/Sum."

- Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background Investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
