On Call Hospice Nurse

Nayar Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized care and support to patients and their families during end-of-life stages!

Schedule:

• 7 days on, 7 days off!
• Monday - Thursday 5pm to 8am
• Friday 5pm to Monday 8am

Benefits:

• Only work 26 weeks per year!
• 14 days of PTO
• 5 sick days

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
• Monitor patient's condition and report changes to the healthcare team
• Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
• Educate patients and families on end-of-life care options
• Ensure comfort and dignity for patients in their final days

Requirements:

• Valid RN license
• Valid Drivers license
• Previous experience in hospice or palliative care preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and standards of care
• Ability to work with patients across various age groups
• Willigness to work holidays
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to phlebotomize and process specimens is a plus
• Experience in primary care, assisted living, ER, or medical imaging is beneficial

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
