About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Data Analyst to join our growing team. As a Data Analyst at Nayya, you will play a crucial role in extracting actionable insights from our data, driving business decisions, and contributing to the optimization of our platform and user experience. You will work closely with various teams, including product, engineering, marketing, and sales, to understand their data needs and deliver impactful analyses.
Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Conduct in-depth analysis of large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies related to user behavior, platform performance, and business metrics. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Data Storytelling: Translate complex data analysis into clear, concise, and compelling narratives that communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaboration & Communication: Partner with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, marketing, sales) to understand their data needs, provide analytical support, and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
- Data Quality & Integrity: Ensure data accuracy and consistency by implementing data quality checks, validating data sources, and identifying and resolving data discrepancies.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline data analysis processes, automate reporting, and improve data infrastructure.
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Respond to ad-hoc data requests from various stakeholders and provide timely and accurate analysis.
- Tool Proficiency: Utilize data analysis tools and techniques, including SQL, Python (preferred), data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker), and spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets).
- Contribute to Data Strategy: Participate in discussions regarding data strategy, data infrastructure improvements, and the development of new metrics and KPIs.
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience with Python (or another scripting language) for data analysis and automation is highly preferred.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, or similar) is required.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to draw meaningful insights from complex data.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with A/B testing and other statistical methods is a plus.
The salary range for New York based candidates for this role is $90,000- $125,000. We use a location factor to adjust this range for candidates that are located outside of geographic region of our New York office. Placement within the salary band is determined based on experience.
