Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly manner, ensuring they feel welcome.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen staff.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards.
- Assist guests with menu selections and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Monitor tables for guest satisfaction, addressing any needs or concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and utensils.
- Handle cash and process payments accurately.
- Participate in training development sessions to enhance service skills and knowledge of menu items.
- Support leadership by mentoring new staff members during their onboarding process.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or casual dining environment is preferred.
- Strong hospitality management skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques is an advantage.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with budgeting principles related to restaurant operations is beneficial.
