Title: Facilities Construction Project Manager
Location:- Jacksonville, FL
Job Overview:.
The Facilities Project Manager will oversee planning, scheduling,
managing, and inspecting the design, engineering, and construction of
transit and facility projects. This role will support capital
improvement projects, ensuring effective coordination between designers,
engineers, contractors, and other departments. .
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Management: Oversee capital improvement projects for
facilities, transit stops, corridor improvements, and infrastructure.
• Coordination: Manage consultants, contractors, and vendors; ensure
work aligns with the organization’s standards and expectations.
• Procurement: Manage RFPs, bids, and participate in
pre-bid/pre-proposal conferences.
• Review & Inspection: Evaluate project designs, schedules, and
contractor performance. Conduct field inspections and resolve technical
issues.
• Contract Management: Administer contracts, approve invoices, and
manage change orders and claims.
• Public Interaction: Coordinate public involvement meetings and address
concerns.
•Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborate with agencies,
municipalities, and internal departments to obtain necessary approvals.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Experience: 2 years in engineering, project administration, design, construction, inspection, or project management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Licensing: Professional Engineer License or the ability to obtain it
within 6 months is preferred.
Skills: Knowledge of construction management, project controls
(scheduling, budgeting), and Federal/State construction regulations.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to review construction plans, manage multiple priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment.
