Painter

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of painting techniques, color theory, and the ability to work on various surfaces. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring a high-quality finish on both interior and exterior projects. The Painter will work closely with other tradespeople and may also assist in related maintenance person tasks.

Duties

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
• Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Mix paints and match colors according to specifications.
• Perform caulking and drywall repairs as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints to understand project requirements.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Painter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of color theory and painting techniques.
• Familiarity with caulking, drywall repair, stucco application, and basic maintenance person skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction plans effectively.
• Experience with construction estimating is a plus.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
