NBC Connecticut Is Looking For a Team Player To Work With Our Meteorologists. As An Intern With Our Weather Department, You Will Work Side-by-side With Our Team To Learn And Contribute With The Following
- Produce weather forecasts, segments, and stories
- Produce weather and science content for a digital audience, both visual and written
- Produce weather graphics and analyze data from the National Weather Service as well as other meteorological sources.
- Work with the producers and news team to create complete coverage of weather. Also prepare and post forecasts for multiple platforms.
- Use of social media daily and especially during severe events.
- Attendance at community and weather-related events
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the length of the program and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress.
- Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)
- Pursuing a major in Meteorology
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal
- IN-PERSON Must be willing to work at the station in West Hartford, CT
- Detailed oriented by nature
- Comfortable working on multiple projects at the same time
- Ability to find creative solutions to projects
- Responsible, punctual, creative, and professional
