Job Description
As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for creating dashboards, developing key metrics, and performing data transformation work that supports NBCUniversal’s business objectives. You will partner closely with operations and business teams to understand their needs, help define measurable goals, and provide data-driven insights that inform decision-making and target business enhancements. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, technical proficiency, and the ability to communicate complex data in a clear and actionable manner.
- Dashboard Creation & Reporting: Design, build, and maintain dashboards that provide real-time insights into key performance metrics. Ensure dashboards are user-friendly and tailored to meet the needs of various stakeholders across the organization.
- Data Transformation: Develop and execute data transformation processes to convert raw data into meaningful insights. Work with data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Collaboration & Partnership: Work closely with operations and business teams to understand their objectives and translate them into measurable metrics. Provide data-driven recommendations to help achieve business goals.
- Metric Development: Define and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics that align with business objectives. Continuously refine these metrics to reflect changing business needs and priorities.
- Data Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities within the data. Present findings in a clear and compelling way to support strategic decision-making.
- Data Integrity & Quality: Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing rigorous data validation processes. Address data quality issues proactively and work to continuously improve data processes.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience in a data analysis role, with a strong focus on dashboard creation, reporting, and data transformation.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data manipulation and transformation.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in the media, entertainment, or technology industries.
- Familiarity with advanced analytics techniques, such as machine learning or predictive modeling.
- Experience with cloud data platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of data governance and best practices in data management.
- Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong presentation skills, with the ability to create compelling data narratives.
- Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence.
