Job Description
Director, NBA Operations reports to the Vice President, NBA Operations and will be responsible for managing NBA on NBC.
Responsibilities
- Act as an effective communication conduit between Remote Operations Management, Production teams, and league contacts.
- Manage a team of Production Managers supporting NBA.
- Partner with arena / stadium / and or tournament personnel regarding mobile unit arrival and schedule.
- Oversee credentials, logistics such as compound set-up, security, catering, transportation, flight and hotel adjustments and report crew hours.
- Hire and partner with payroll to ensure correct and timely payment to the crew.
- Director, NBA Operations works closely with Production, Talent, and with the show’s Technical Manager.
- Manages multiple budgets in coordination with the show’s Producer and Finance. This includes ensuring all costs are accounted for and bills are paid.
- Oversee hotel block bookings.
- Oversees the shows’ crew schedule and provides support for Production, Talent needs; must work closely with studio team.
- Travel onsite to remote NBA events.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience working on production or related projects
- Proven knowledge of equipment and the equipment process as well as all procedures that are needed for various production projects
- Must have the ability to work effectively with persons at all levels within the internal organization and with those outside of the organization
- Prior experience on high-level productions
- Must be willing to learn internal systems
- Experience with unions
