Job Description
This is a project based / limited term position with an estimated duration of up to 10 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.
In this position, you will work with and supports all productions across the NBC Sports portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Engage with NBC Sports staff, daily hire and freelance technical personnel to work on remote productions. Inclusive of contacting the requested engineers to check their availability, negotiate rates, and hire all positions before the event
- Coordinate with Technical Managers and Production Managers to obtain necessary information to create accurate crew sheets for the remote production
- Relay all crew event info to the Production Managers in a timely fashion so all travel logistics can be coordinated in a cost-efficient manner
- Support Operations/Production in resolving last minute scheduling/crewing issues (i.e. schedule/programming changes, sick calls, location change)
- Provide payroll support for each event
- Manage internal personnel (SCORE) system, inclusive of initiating & monitoring onboarding process for new hires
- Anticipate and communicate issues to management team to resolve quickly
- Proactively address issues which arise during course of production
- Perform other related duties as needed
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum two (2 ) years’ experience in broadcasting or related field; sports broadcast experience preferred
- Understanding of the roles of technical crew and union rules
Desired Characteristics
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and associated tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Extremely organized, detail oriented and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to partner with all levels across the business
