Job Description

The Manager will report directly to the Sr. Director and work closely with the VP of the Production Talent & Partnerships team to:

  • Develop, manage, and execute a range of programs and initiatives designed to increase access to career opportunities in film with a focus on below-the-line and production positions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, including training organizations, film commissions, and industry organizations.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across NBCUniversal to ensure program success.

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week (T/W/TH).

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of an expansive slate of programs including, but not limited to, the Below-the-Line Traineeship and Production Accounting Accelerator. This includes:
    • Coordinating and executing all program phases, from recruitment and selection to program delivery and post-program support.
    • Designing and delivering engaging and effective curriculum.
    • Managing all program logistics, including scheduling, budgeting, and vendor relations.
    • Conducting program evaluations and tracking key performance indicators to measure program effectiveness.
    • Developing and implementing action plans to foster career growth for program participants and alumni.
    • Providing ongoing support and guidance to all program participants and alumni.
    • Ensure that all programs are impactful, well-resourced, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Partnership Engagement:
    • Serve as the primary liaison with key partners, including below-the-line training organizations, film commissions, advocacy groups, film festivals and more.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners. Execute on strategy to ensure that all partnership objectives are met and exceeded.
    • Work with the VP and Senior Director to manage partner renewals, agreements and contracts.
  • Communications/Relationship Building:
    • Represent the Production Talent & Partnership team at industry events, panels, and presentations as required.
    • Develop and deliver compelling presentations to internal and external audiences.
    • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • General Responsibilities:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in AirTable and other relevant databases.
    • Ensure proper record-keeping and filing of all program-related documents.
    • Provide excellent customer service to all program participants, partners, and internal teams.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in inclusion, talent development and program management
Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years industry experience in film, TV, agency, studio, production company, etc.
  • 5 years of program management experience, workforce development or training facilitation.
  • Experience and understanding of the studio physical production process and below-the-line departments within the industry.

  • Must be available to work extended hours and travel as needed.

  • Data-Driven & Analytical: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, draw insights, and create compelling reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in data management tools (AirTable, OneDrive/SharePoint) and design software (Adobe Suite, Canva) a plus.

Additional Requirements

Salary range: $90,000-105,000 (bonus eligible)

    • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
