Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. JOB SUMMARY :
Provides advanced administrative and computer support to Director and / or Assistant Director and their departments.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :
Initiate and follow-up on action items for new and / or routine projects, processes, and / or policies. Coordinates with other departments and / or external sources.
Generates department correspondence and / or reports. Uses appropriate computer programs to analyze, compile, update and maintain department correspondence and / or reports. Disseminates data / information to the appropriate parties. Prepares expense reports. May create presentations and / or corresponding materials.
Screens / prioritizes / directs incoming calls and mail / correspondence, taking appropriate actions as necessary.
May maintain executive(s)’ and corresponding department’s calendars, coordinate meetings, and / or set appointments. Makes travel and / or training arrangements when necessary.
Provides administrative support, direction, guidance, and / or training to department. Serves as a liaison with other departments in acquiring and maintaining technology, supplies, onboarding, work space coordination, sourcing and other logistical needs through standard UO / UPR procedures.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE :
COMPLEXITY OF WORK : Moderately routine; general policies applied. Some decision-making.
RELATIONSHIPS OUTSIDE WORK UNIT : Exchange of information which occasionally requires tact and / or diplomacy.
EDUCATION :
High school degree or GED is required.
Bachelor’s degree is preferred
EXPERIENCE :
2 to 5 years of administrative assistant experience preferred
Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel required.
Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Outlook preferred.
Familiarity with UO systems is a plus.
