What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Editor CNBC Make It position at NBCUniversal?
CNBC Make It is seeking a social media pro to determine and execute social editorial strategies on various platforms. This social media editor based in CNBC Make Its New York City office will create and distribute content aimed at increasing traffic and engagement across all CNBC Make Its platforms including Facebook Instagram LinkedIn X TikTok and others.
The ideal candidate will be a selfstarter who has a proven track record of expanding the social reach of a media outlet or brand. This position requires impeccable spelling and grammar a deep understanding of social media trends and what works on each platform vertical video editing skills the ability to capture wellcomposed videos on a phone Photoshop experience and a passion for personal finance and workrelated stories. Being able to host social content is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to :
- Execute daily posting and strategy across CNBC Make Its social accounts
- Write optimize and schedule original site content in a timely manner
- Create compelling socialfirst content driving engagement and creating unique experiences
- Regularly monitor analytics and provide verbal reports on successful themes / posts to the CNBC Director of Social and CNBC Make It team
- Editing and formatting videos for social
- Maintain brand voice and presence
- Staying updated with the latest trends technologies and best practices in social media
- Community engagement
- Write copy and work with the animations team to create promotional content for CNBC Make It initiatives such as online courses
- Collaborate with reporters and video producers on projects
- Work with the CNBC Director of Social to execute the big picture strategy for CNBC Make Its social accounts
