As a Database Administrator - Cloud Platforms, you will:

- Oversee production, QA/Test, and development database environments
- Create detailed documentation and diagrams of the cloud database infrastructure
- Coordinate and communicate with all stakeholders (internal teams and clients)
- Set up and maintain database infrastructure to support business intelligence needs
- Manage multiple databases and assist in capacity planning
- Monitor and maintain database systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity and security
- Utilize scripting languages for automation and scripting to streamline database operations
- Develop strategies for managing backups, restoration, and replication
- Support software developers with database operations, including complex SQL queries and stored procedures
- Perform data administration duties, including system performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Develop and maintain ETL processes and scripts for data exchanges with external systems
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and preparation
- Manage database security strategy and data governance
Minimum Requirements:This position requires the following educational and/or job experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator, specifically with cloud-based databases
- Required Expertise: Azure SQL, CosmosDB (native API and Mongo API), Aurora PostgreSQL
- Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
- Proficient in database security, backup and recovery, and data migration strategies
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, security, and networking concepts
Desired Skills: Ideal candidates for this position should possess some or all of the following skills:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
- AWS Certified Database - Specialty
- MongoDB Certified DBA Associate
- Snowflake SnowPro Certification
- Experience with Snowflake, Redis, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2), and Microsoft Fabric
- Proficiency in PowerShell and Python for automation and scripting
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies
- Passionate and motivated self-starter
- A passion for leveraging cloud technologies to drive business success
- Strong work ethic and ability to complete work accurately
- Ability to think logically in order to analyze situations and make sound decisions
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate issues.
