POSITION OVERVIEW
NBME® is currently seeking a Disability Assessment Analyst to join our Disability Services unit. The Disability Assessment Analyst (DAA) will be primarily responsible for reviewing requests for test accommodations and making final decisions for test accommodations in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for NBME owned products. The DAA conducts thorough reviews of accompanying documentation, such as clinical evaluations/assessments, psychoeducational assessments, neuropsychological evaluations, progress notes, medical records, academic records, and other supporting documentation. In addition, the Disability Assessment Analyst will consult with the Manager, Examinee Accommodations on various projects and needs for the unit.
This role has been designated as primarily remote which means it generally does not require onsite work more than an average of 2-3 times per month and may require additional prescheduled onsite work. Employees will have the ability to select their primary work location (remote/on-site/hybrid) based on their preference. We're open to considering candidates in the following states: PA, NJ, DE and MD.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete professional audit/review of requests for accommodations in accordance with the ADA and create accurate custom correspondence communicating decision to examinees within a specified time frame.
- Accurate and professional oral and written communication of current documentation guidelines and NBME/USMLE policy/practices to examinees, and others.
- Serve as a resource regarding disability related information and test accommodations.
- Provide excellent customer service as a subject matter expert for questions related to disability documentation requirements and for escalated issues.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings.
- Consult with Manager, Examinee Accommodations on various projects and needs of the unit.
DELIVERABLES
- Craft accurate custom correspondence to examinees related to documentation requests and/or test accommodations in a timely manner.
- Participate in the resolution of examinee and evaluator questions and problems.
- Provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders on issues or questions as a subject matter expert.
- Participate in the creation and implementation of departmental policies and practices related to examinee requests for test accommodations.
- Participate in review and update of departmental guidelines and forms related to accommodations.
- Gather, analyze, and report data for routine and/or special projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge and experience with psycho-educational, psychological, or neuropsychological tests and measures.
- Knowledge and experience using current diagnostic criteria for cognitive, learning, attention, and psychiatric disorders.
- Familiarity with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Familiarity with principles and practices of accessible testing.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong analytic, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Poses a strong aptitude for customer service.
- Ability to perform within a team context while also being self-directed in an independent environment.
- Familiarity with MS Office applications.
