Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Parent Educator to join our team. Responsibilities
- Conduct educational workshops and individual sessions for parents on topics such as child development, conflict management, and crisis intervention.
- Develop and implement parenting programs that address the needs of families in the community.
- Collaborate with social workers, childcare providers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for families.
- Assess the needs of families and provide tailored resources and referrals to appropriate services.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions with families and track progress over time.
- Facilitate discussions on family law, child protective services, and child welfare issues to educate parents about their rights and responsibilities.
- Provide crisis management support as needed, assisting families in navigating challenging situations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Child Development, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with children and families in a professional setting is essential.
- Knowledge of child protective services, family law, behavioral health, and crisis intervention strategies is highly desirable.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
