Position: Subsitute Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Location: Lawnside School District
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00-3:15
About the Role:
As an RBT in the elementary school, you will play a vital role in supporting students with various developmental and behavioral needs. You will work closely with children, providing one-on-one support, and behavior management strategies. Additionally, you will assist the classroom teacher in implementing individualized learning plans to ensure every child thrives in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group behavior interventions using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.
- Conduct intensive table teaching sessions to help students develop essential academic and social skills.
- Support classroom teachers in managing behavior and promoting positive interactions among students.
- Collect and record data on student progress and collaborate with the teaching team to adjust interventions as needed.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for all students.
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and support staff to ensure cohesive support for each child.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, or a related field (preferred).
- Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) required.
- Experience working with young children, particularly in a school or clinical setting, is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- A passion for helping children succeed and grow in a positive and inclusive environment.
