We are seeking a dedicated and versatile team member to join our organization. The ideal candidate will take on a multi-faceted role that bridges manufacturing, drafting, customer service. Below is a general outline of responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing Familiarization:
- Work on-site in manufacturing for the first few weeks to gain an understanding of how our products are manufactured.
- Pricing and Order Accuracy:
- Familiarize yourself with our pricing structure to ensure accuracy when creating builds in QuickBooks.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain clear communication to ensure accuracy in products ordered by customers or the company.
- CAD Drafting and Design:
- Draft and design using Vectorworks CAD system.
- Update and maintain stock drawings.
- Create CAD designs for website and marketing materials.
- Work with sales and manufacturing teams to design functional equipment that meets customer needs during the quoting process.
- Quoting and Vendor Coordination:
- Produce equipment drawings for quotes with a 1–2 day turnaround.
- Obtain quotes and pricing from outsourced vendors.
- Order Preparation and Production:
- Prepare new orders for warehouse production.
- Create purchase orders and parts pulling cards in QuickBooks based on approved designs.
- Pull all parts for new orders and ensure compliance with approved specifications.
- Quality Control:
- Receive and inspect incoming items to ensure they meet approved specifications.
- Conduct initial product inspections for quality control.
- Research and Development:
- Assist with the research and development of new or updated products.
- Certifications and Compliance:
- Maintain and update certifications for equipment, including NSF and UL certifications.
- General Responsibilities:
- Assist with tasks as needed in the absence of other staff.
- Take on additional tasks assigned by management.
- Forklift Operation:
- Existing forklift certification is a plus, but the candidate must be willing to obtain certification if not already certified.
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in CAD drafting and design.
- Experience with QuickBooks is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Willingness to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment.
This position requires a proactive and flexible individual who can work collaboratively with different departments to support the entire lifecycle of our product development and manufacturing process.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
